Students excitedly look at books

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Mount Hope hosted a highly successful book drive organized by second-grade teacher Mrs. Radosevich. The initiative aimed to provide students with an opportunity to expand their home libraries and foster a love for reading among young minds.

The drive, which saw an overwhelming response from students and their families, culminated in a remarkable outcome. Enough books were donated to ensure that each student in the school could "shop" for six books to take home, completely free of charge.

The event was not merely about distributing books but also about empowering students to choose literature that resonated with their interests and aspirations. Children of all ages eagerly participated, browsing through a wide array of titles spanning various genres and topics. They were excited to choose books for themselves, and proud to grab some for siblings as well.

The success of this initiative serves as a reminder of the profound impact that small acts of kindness can have in building stronger, more vibrant communities. At Mount Hope Elementary, the love for reading continues to flourish, one book at a time.
